Recently, “Container Terminal Mostyska” (Mostyska Dry Port LLC) hosted an industry event “AgroDay: From Field to the World”, bringing together Western Ukrainian agrarians, traders, and logistics partners at its facility. The event, organized with the support of the Lviv Regional Military Administration (LRMA), aimed to showcase the terminal’s capabilities for stable and predictable exports of Ukrainian agricultural products amidst changing global logistics routes.
The participants toured the terminal’s infrastructure and explored practical solutions for organizing agricultural exports to EU countries. In particular, they were presented with a grain elevator with a capacity of 4,000 tons, a liquid cargo transshipment complex with a capacity of up to 2,000 tons per day, as well as a covered warehouse with an area of over 4,000 m², which ensures the monthly shipment of up to 10,000 tons of grains and meals into containers.
“We offer the market tools that make logistics predictable and reliable. Thanks to direct access to the European 1435 mm gauge and modern infrastructure, cargo from the terminal travels to key ports and consumers in Europe without any unnecessary delays. This is particularly crucial for producers looking for a stable sales channel during wartime”, noted Dmytro Kobzar, CEO of Mostyska Dry Port LLC.
Special attention was paid to the launch of contracting for the new crop of rapeseed and soybeans. This allows producers to plan logistics in advance, reserve terminal capacity, and minimize risks during the export campaign.
“The agricultural sector remains a cornerstone of our resilience — it supports the economy, foreign exchange inflows, and food security. Despite all the challenges during the full-scale war, the agricultural sector of Lviv Region continues to deliver strong results: exports are growing, and the share of value-added products is increasing. Our task is to create conditions so that Ukrainian producers can quickly, safely, and consistently supply their products to European and global markets even under wartime conditions”, noted Yurii Buchko, Deputy of the Lviv Regional Council and Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
Within the framework of the event, the terminal’s partners also presented their solutions, including the trading company “RISOIL UKRAINE”, the logistics operator “MVC Forwarding” LLC, “VST BANK” JSC, “ARCON ENGINEERING” LLC, and other companies. The participants discussed current market trends, financial instruments, and modern logistics solutions for the agricultural business.
“We have been cooperating with producers from the western regions of Ukraine for over two years, operating directly out of the Container Terminal Mostyska. Efficient logistics, experience, and a partnership approach help Ukrainian agricultural products successfully navigate the “From Field to the World” export chain and reach international markets, particularly in Asian countries”, emphasized Oleksii Miroshnykov, Head of the Procurement Department at “RISOIL UKRAINE” LLC.
“Compared to road freight, which experiences high price volatility, driver shortages, border queues, and strikes, shipping products by rail is more predictable and reliable. Supply diversification through these two modes of transport provides smart businesses with a balance between minimal shipping costs and stability”, noted Dmytro Kobzar.
Hosting the “AgroDay” marks another step forward in developing the partnership between Container Terminal Mostyska and Ukrainian agricultural producers.
