Container Terminal Mostyska (CTM) has become the first—and so far the only—terminal in Ukraine to receive the official r2L (roadrailLink) certificate and to be recognized as an official partner of RoadrailLink, the developer of innovative technology for trailer-on-rail transport.
The roadrailLink (r2L) solution unlocks new logistical capabilities by enabling the transportation of virtually any standardized semi-trailers, tractors, trucks, passenger cars, and containers that previously could not be loaded onto rail platforms using traditional systems. With the introduction of this technology, CTM is now equipped to handle a wide range of cargo efficiently, offering fast loading and unloading times while ensuring maximum safety for both the vehicle and cargo. This is achieved through non-contact handling—no direct contact with the wagon or forklift is required.
“This is not just a technological upgrade, but a strategic step toward expanding intermodal capabilities in Ukraine and integrating our logistics infrastructure into the European transport system,” — stated Dmytro Kobzar, CEO of Container Terminal Mostyska.
Among the key advantages of the r2L technology are speed (loading a single semi-trailer takes just 5 to 10 minutes), safety, and environmental sustainability.
The RoadrailLink solution significantly enhances the appeal of combined transport for cargo owners, reducing logistics costs while simultaneously meeting sustainability goals.
Container Terminal Mostyska continues to invest in innovation and provide clients with efficient, forward-looking logistics solutions that meet the demands of today’s international supply chain landscape.
