Based on the performance in 2023, Mostyska Dry Port (known as Container Terminal Mostyska) handled more than 72.4 thousand TEU of containerized cargo.
Over the past year, the consolidated volume of general, bulk, and liquid cargo handling increased to 286 thousand tons. Of these, 122 thousand tons of grain cargo, 62 thousand tons of liquid cargo, 35 thousand tons of general cargo, and 37 thousand tons of bulk cargo. In addition, new cargo traffic for the terminal has appeared – electric vehicles. By the end of 2023, the terminal received 36 containers and unloaded 108 vehicles.
“The availability of modern infrastructure and equipment, efficient use of production capacities and the professional approach of our employees allowed us to successfully transship all the declared cargo through the terminal in 2023 and set personal records,” says Dmytro Kobzar, General Director of Mostyska Dry Port, “We expect deeper integration and an increase in cargo traffic from the EU, as well as an increase in the level of containerization.”
The main growth in transshipment took place in the second half of the year and continued growing dynamically. The cargo was mainly shipped to Asia via European ports, as well as to Poland, Italy, and Germany.
The growth in cargo transshipment volumes was primarily driven by the reorientation of shipping lines and the introduction of operations through the Polish ports. Another factor behind the increase in volumes was the development of production facilities, the provision of new services and a high level of service.
Investments:
Total capital investments in 2023 amounted to over UAH 100 million.
“Despite the war, we do not stop and continue to invest in the Ukrainian economy. In 2024, we are planning to increase the terminal’s production capacity by expanding the operating space for container handling and storage, as well as to actively develop container shipping between the terminal and EU countries as an alternative to road transportation,” summarized Dmytro Kobzar.
Taxes:
For 12 months of 2023, the terminal transferred UAH 27.66 million to the budgets of all levels. UAH 15.49 million was transferred to the state budget alone, including UAH 4.65 million in VAT. The local budgets were replenished by more than UAH 12 million. The single social contribution amounted to UAH 11.13 million.
The key task for the terminal today is to continue to fully meet the needs of our customers by optimizing logistics as much as possible.
